Story of the Coronado Boot

The Coronado features a very unique tannage. The leather is waxed and has amazing pull-up . A durable leather that holds its shape, but wears in fast and takes on a distressed look for added character.

In 2011 we built a timber frame factory in the woods of Maine. We found the old timers to show us the old ways. We did what had to be done. We dug deep in the ground and in our hearts. We brought back what was forgotten. The people remembered why they used to be makers. “The world’s best”, that’s what American Made used to mean. Here’s the secret... it still does.

All our leather is tanned right here in Maine, 45 minutes from the Origin boot factory. We source our materials and components close to home. From brass eyelets, to laces and thread, everything is sourced domestically. Proving the American supply chain is still very much alive. Have comfort that your boots are 100% Made in America, without compromise.

On occasions, we've found America has lost certain manufacturing abilities, and we are unable to make a component here. When this happens, we look to countries close by for support, but we also put out a call to arms to help us find or restore that part of the supply chain. I have owned these boots for about two weeks and they are phenomenal! They are very comfortable to wear all day long with the christy sole. They also broke in fairly quickly in less than a week. They fit true to size as I usually wear a size 10 in regular shoes and the size 10 Coronados fit perfectly. The only issue I had right away was the toe box was very narrow. After I used a boot stretcher for a couple of days this was no longer an issue. The quality of these boots is also outstanding. I cannot speak to the durability as I have only owned them for a couple weeks, but they appear very well made. I ordered the factory seconds (blemished) from the outlet and could not find any obvious defects in the boots. If you wear your boots on a daily basis there will be "blemishes" in them anyways, so why not save some money on a great pair of boots! Overall I am very satisfied with these boots and will be purchasing more in the future!

They look great and feel solid. I'm really happy about my purchase. They do seem like they'll take some time to wear in, which is to be expected. I have had positive comments on these boots from people who never comment on my shoes. :) I also love that these are made in the USA.
