Story of the Coronado Boot

The Coronado features a very unique tannage. The leather is waxed and has amazing pull-up . A durable leather that holds its shape, but wears in fast and takes on a distressed look for added character.

In 2011 we built a timber frame factory in the woods of Maine. We found the old timers to show us the old ways. We did what had to be done. We dug deep in the ground and in our hearts. We brought back what was forgotten. The people remembered why they used to be makers. “The world’s best”, that’s what American Made used to mean. Here’s the secret... it still does.

All our leather is tanned right here in Maine, 45 minutes from the Origin boot factory. We source our materials and components close to home. From brass eyelets, to laces and thread, everything is sourced domestically. Proving the American supply chain is still very much alive. Have comfort that your boots are 100% Made in America, without compromise.

At Origin, our promise is Made in America Without Compromise. That means we exhaust exhaust all efforts to source every major and minor material, fiber and component in America, even if it takes longer or the cost is higher. On occasions, we've found America has lost certain manufacturing abilities, and we are unable to make a component here. When this happens, we look to countries close by for support, but we also put out a call to arms to help us find or restore that part of the supply chain. Sometimes, we buy factories, re-shore old machines and make it ourselves. The Origin Factory Blockchain is a transparent look at where every part of your garment or footwear comes from.

Midsole separation

So I've owned these boots for a little over 2 years ND I really love them. The only issue I've had is that due to how much the mid sole sticks out, it will sometimes get caught on things like a closing door, and basically flat tire you. This happened often enough that it snaped the thread securing the mid sole to the boot. This happend on my right boot and I had to get it resolved to fix the sticking. (I did that my self) I di this only 3 weeks ago and now the same thing happened to the left boot. I've only gotten 3 weeks of use out of these soles and I'm not sure if they can be saved. This really sucks. I wish they had used a stronger thread to secure the midsole.

They're perfect in every way. Sturdy, high quality, extremely comfortable. It doesn't get any better. I have wide feet and purchased the wide boots and the fitment is ideal. They get lots of compliments. Thank you!

Bought these boots after a pair of Ariats that I was wearing whilst riding my Harley Davidson Nightrod literally half set on fire half melted because unbenknownst to me they use that cheap pleather shit on the upper part of their boots which is left over leather chopped into tiny pieces then glued together like a mince pattie pretending to be a steak and they did not like the heat from the exhaust after an hour and a half of riding from Toowoomba to Brisbane (Australia) they turnt into cinder and burnt my ankle. and yes I have pictures because I couldn’t believe it. Happy to say these Coronado boots have had no issues whatsoever the heat from the bike and You can see and feel the quality of these boots, with thick leather that is still supple and comfortable enough to wear into the pub after a ride. I wear these boots everyday and will be the only brand of leather boots on these feet so keep up the great work and quality and I’ll be back for another pair in twenty years when these get a bit smelly because I don’t see them wearing out.
