I was hesitant or skeptical but took the risk of trying something new. I am usually a wool or bust kinda guy. I sized up to a 3x with other reviewers stating that it was slightly smaller than “true to size” and I find the shirt to be casually comfortable, the larger size I got probably negates some of the design intent of it being a base layer. I used it recently as a sleep shirt and never woke up feeling constricted or too warm. The material has a very small mesh weave, think like an athletic jersey that allows for nice air flow.

If I could change one thing it would be the neck hole which I find to just a bit tight when putting it on, mind you the shirt never road up on me so I never felt like the collar was choking me. The only thing I would change is I wish it came with a Rugby style collar, but that’s probably not in line with the design intent of this shirt being a base layer.
