I've experimented with a variety of nootropic stacks over the years, my most consistent stack including pharmaceutical grade racetams, stacked with caffeine, choline, omega 3's etc etc. and had decent results with them, but I always felt like it was hit or miss, either from an efficacy standpoint or dosing differences etc etc. I've tried Onnit's AlphaBrain and honestly couldn't tell any difference at all.
Then I tried the original Discipline and I liked what I experienced, but I wanted a bit more of a focus and energy boost from it...then came Discipline GO. I've been taking this consistently for 2 weeks now and I've noticed a substantially (I would underline this if I could) increased "lock in" on complex tasks, my level of distraction resistance has gone way up (I have a bit of a hard time focusing on things sometimes) and as a side-effect, I have been finding creative problem solving and sheer creative output (music production) a lot easier to get into a flow-state with.
Word-finding and short-term memory have been much improved. My job (software engineering) requires me to juggle lots of different tasks at the same time and I am constantly hopping from meeting, to conference calls, to software reviews, to writing code, so my mental checklist is often pretty long and I am constantly context-switching and I've often had to rely on making notes so I don't forget to do things. Not any more.
It has been that noticeable of a difference. Being completely objective about it, nothing else has changed in my lifestyle. Diet, level of exercise, sleep, alcohol intake, environment; the only addition has been Discipline GO to my daily regimen of supplements.
For the second part of the story, my wife has often complained of having a severe mental fog, feeling easily distracted, couldn't keep track of single conversations or having a hard time with her memory recall, she's often said she feels like her brain is broken because she struggles to remember things that happened a few days ago sometimes. She's also VERY resistant to taking supplements or pills of any kind really.
We were talking I was experiencing with Discipline GO, and I happened to have a little sample pack from my Black Friday order to hand and I gave her a couple to try. That day we were hosting a lot of family, cooking, entertaining; things that my wife as an introvert finds exhausting in general.
That evening, she literally broke down in tears because for the first time in a long time, she'd been able to remember things very clearly from her childhood, could have multiple conversations going at once with different people without losing track, cooking a large complex meal for a lot of people with me and handled it without a moments issue, or feeling overwhelmed. She told me it was like someone had taken a weight out of her brain and the only thing that she'd done differently, was take Discipline GO.
We tested those results a few days later where she had a high-pressure project deadline with work, where we were forced to work outside of our normal environment in a noisy coffee shop...she took her Discipline GO, and was initially having a hard time focusing because of the conversations, the music and the general distractions that are present in a public space like that. That was, up until perhaps 20 - 30 minutes later where she looked at me and said "will you please get me a subscription for this stuff? Like, right now.". That was enough of an incentive to me to prove that this isn't a flash in a pan, or a placebo effect.
This, and Joint Warfare are the only 2 products I have on subscription from any company anywhere. It's legit!
